New: Consent Timeline and Events

  What's new?

A comprehensive timeline of consent for Known Profiles.

There's a new Event for APSIS One Profiles that opt-in to your communications via your Website tool's Sign-up bar activity: Email Consent and SMS Consent. In the future, other sources will be able to post the same Event, when creating Profiles and adding Channel consent via the APSIS One API, File Import Wizard, etc.

In order to enable this new feature for your existing APSIS One activities, you must make a couple simple changes. Jump to Get the update below to learn how!

Why the new Events?

The new Consent Events, combined with the Consent Timeline, allow for a good overview of how and when Profiles opt-in to your communications, providing insights as to how your Sign-up bar activity is performing. The Events posted are different, depending on whether it is a Known or Unknown Profile. Here's where you can read more about Profiles...

Previously, only Unknown Profiles who entered their email into your Sign-up bar would get the Sign-up bar - Submit Event in their Website Interactions.

The new Consent Event is now logged into Known Profiles under Consent Timeline, additionally to the Submit Event that is logged into Unknown Profiles: so they both have information as to their opt-in status and details about how they opted in.

Browsing data prior to the consent is kept in the Unknown Profile with the Submit Event, until the Known and Unknown merge due to additional browsing behaviour. When merged, both Events will be present in the merged Profile. Read more about Profile Merge...

Get the update!

Your existing Sign-up bar activities will continue to post the Sing-up bar - Submit event to Unknown Profiles. However, for the new Consent Events to be posted to Known Profiles, please follow the steps described below.

Have in mind that Profiles that provided consent prior to this new Event will not gain the Consent Events, only those who opt-in from the moment you update your activities.

7. In the Bottom bar, click Activate.

Would you like to keep the profiles that remain in the flow from before, or would you like to remove them and restart the flow?

Click Keep to allow the profiles to finish the flow, or click Remove to remove the profiles from the flow. If you remove them, your flow will directly activate and can be found in the Active & Paused tab. It may take some time to remove the profiles from the flow.

Before a flow is successfully activated, you will see the status Activating. It may take some time to activate a flow that was previously paused.

Your node(s) will now work with the new Consent Event!
